Role Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving business development and managing the sales pipeline for the Commercial Service division. This includes presenting our HVAC Maintenance & Repair Services capabilities to existing multi-family apartment complexes, offices, retail stores, warehouses, data centers, hotels, and more. Identifying opportunities for growth and increasing market share, combined with fostering and developing customer relationships, is critical to this role. Additionally, the Sales Manager serves as a post-job-award resource for the commercial service teams, addressing questions about awarded bid content and maintaining client relations.

Essential Functions:

Identify, bid, and secure work according to the annual plan. Prepare and assist in preparing project estimates and sales proposals to ensure departmental continuity. Estimate and oversee projects to drive revenue and profitability. Read and interpret blueprints and construction schematics. Oversee the estimating process for the Commercial Service division, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely bids. Collaborate with the Director of Commercial Services to develop market strategies. Formulate and execute Key Account plans to ensure repeat business with preferred customers. Participate in annual planning and develop sales forecasts for yearly budgets. Provide bid status updates and formulate strategies to win deals.

Work Environment:

The Sales/Account Manager works in both the corporate or regional office and in the field. Job site visits or customer meetings will be conducted outside the office.

Physical Demands:

This position requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It also involves using ladders to access roofs or overhead spaces during the sales process.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional after-hours customer support as needed.

Travel:

Occasional overnight travel for training or work may be required (less than 20%).

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (preferred) At least 18 years old Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in a drug-free workplace Clean driving record and current driver’s license Strong steady work history with a minimum of 3 years in Commercial HVAC Sales Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and applications Proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., Smartphone, iPad) Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and various software programs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients Strong negotiation and presentation skills Self-motivated and results-driven Willingness to travel as needed
