Construction General Contractor Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced new home constructionsuperintendent who can lead our subcontractors. You’ll help ourconstruction company plan and manage projects from start to finish.

Additional responsibilities include daily scheduling, maintainingthe safety and compliance of a construction site, and supervisingall activities. Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years ofconstruction field experience with leadership skills in managingcustom builds highly preferred. Responsibilities:

• Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repairupdates for the project manager and the homeowner
• Reduce accidents and delays on construction sites by ensuringstrict adherence to health and safety regulations and reporting anyproblems to the project manager as soon as they arise
• Assess subcontractor progress against timelines and performancetargets to ensure that work is completed on schedule and to thehighest possible quality
• Certify that each building project delivers a high-quality endproduct, oversee construction staff, and perform on-siteassessments daily

Qualifications:

• You will need a high school diploma for this position, and abachelor’s degree is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and the entirebuilding process, including building codes, blueprints, permits,construction equipment, material resources, construction processes,and project management principles
• Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Officesoftware
• Superb organizational, leadership, time-management, andcommunication skills
• A thorough knowledge of the Construction Schedule Sequence withprevious experience using job site CRM software &
