Construction Project Manager 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars Charlotte, NC 28216 Construction Project Manager – Small Cell Seeking an experienced Telecom professional with experience in small cell network deployment. This role oversees construction projects involving aerial and underground work, utility coordination, permitting, and contractor management to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of small cell construction, including node, hub, and fiber builds (aerial/underground). Oversee multiple contractors and vendors; coordinate project schedules, scopes, budgets, and quality control. Lead site walks (bid, precon, punch), monitor progress, and resolve field issues. Develop and manage bid packages, review proposals, and negotiate contractor pricing. Coordinate permitting with local and state agencies; ensure compliance with all permit conditions and timelines. Review and approve construction drawings, structural analysis, scopes of work, and bills of materials. Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project documentation protocols. Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, and real estate teams, as well as external utilities and municipalities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or equivalent experience preferred. 2+ years of OSP and small cell construction experience. Strong understanding of permitting processes and utility coordination. Experience managing subcontractors and construction teams in the field. Familiarity with aerial/underground fiber construction standards (NESC, NEC, OSHA). Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools. Valid driver’s license required. OSHA 10, and experience with construction testing tools (e.g., OTDR, PIM, RF sweep) is preferred
