Our Client, with over 60 years in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Door, Frame & Hardware (DFH) to join their Charlotte, NC team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership:
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of major door vendors, including Allegion and Assa Abloy Handle all commercial door, frame, and hardware take-offs Provide expert assistance to sales teams and customers during estimating and buy-out phases Lead blueprint reading, specification interpretation, and construction procedures
Project Management:
Detail all projects, including pricing, identifying design/specification errors, and client communication Estimate material requirements according to company policy and local building codes Review “actual used vs. estimated” materials upon project completion Assist operations teams with order verification and document revision reviews
Client Services:
Assess existing door conditions for deficiencies Create corrective action plans for code issue remediation Provide technical knowledge and expertise to customers and team members
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, finance, or accounting preferred Minimum 5 years of specialized experience in the Door, Frames, and Hardware field Proven track record of successful DFH project management
Key Success Factors:
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial door, frame, and hardware systems Strong technical understanding of building codes and industry specifications Excellent communication and client relationship skills Ability to work effectively with sales, operations, and customer service teams
