Crosland Southeast is a leading commercial real estate development firm based in Charlotte, NC, dedicated to developing high-quality properties throughout the Southeast. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Development Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our standards for successfully executing ground-up commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

Lead the entire project lifecycle for assigned developments, from initial feasibility studies and due diligence to permitting, design, construction, and closeout. Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements. Manage project budgets and meet financial goals while maintaining high-quality construction standards. Oversee the project due diligence and design process and collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and other consultants. Manage the procurement and vendor selection process for various construction contracts. Secure all necessary permits and approvals from local and state authorities. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to maintain momentum and achieve completion. Foster clear and open communication with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, tenants, and lenders. Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, highlighting progress, challenges, and upcoming milestones. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal construction project regulations.

Qualifications:

Minimum 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate development, civil engineering, construction, or a related field. Proven track record of successfully managing ground-up commercial development projects from inception to completion. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs. Excellent project management skills with the ability to develop and manage project schedules and budgets. Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management. Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Valid driver’s license.
