The Director of Preconstruction is responsible for leading the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring that all aspects of estimating, budgeting, and planning are meticulously handled to set the stage for successful project execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and drive business development efforts. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the preconstruction team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Oversee the estimating process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements and budgets.
Develop comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts for upcoming projects, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to align project goals and specifications during the preconstruction phase.
Cultivate relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive business development and secure new project opportunities.
Review and analyze design documents and specifications to create detailed and competitive proposals.
Implement best practices in preconstruction processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on preconstruction and estimating.
Proven experience in budget management and financial forecasting for construction projects.
Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and restoration projects.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
