The Director of Preconstruction will lead the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring effective planning, cost management, and coordination among stakeholders. This role is pivotal in establishing project feasibility, optimizing budgets, and fostering client relationships to deliver exceptional construction results. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the preconstruction team, overseeing all aspects of project planning and development.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to define project scope and requirements.
Conduct thorough cost estimating and budgeting to ensure financial viability of projects.
Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
Coordinate scheduling and timelines to ensure timely project delivery.
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Oversee bid management processes, including preparation and submission of proposals.
Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations throughout the preconstruction phase.
Implement value engineering strategies to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Foster strong client relations to understand their needs and drive satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in preconstruction or related roles within the construction industry.
Proven track record in contract negotiation and project management.
Strong skills in cost estimating, budgeting, and risk analysis.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and design coordination.
Exceptional communication and client relations skills.
