About the role The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all installation and service crews, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards. The role involves close coordination with the Scheduling Manager to align resources and schedules while managing on-site operations, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining company culture across the team.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Oversee the daily operations of all crews through Crew Chiefs, focusing on job quality, safety, and efficiency. Train, coach, and manage crew performance, including conducting performance reviews and handling disciplinary actions. Collaborate with the Scheduling Manager to ensure the schedule is aligned with crew readiness and job requirements. Adjust plans if jobs need to be shifted, extended, or cut short, ensuring smooth transitions. Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving on-site issues. Drive solutions in real time, coordinating with the Scheduling Manager and relevant departments. Ensure all crews adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations on job sites. Conduct regular safety audits, provide ongoing safety training, and address any safety concerns promptly. Implement and enforce safety procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Responsible for overseeing and approving crew time cards to ensure accuracy in recorded hours, compliance with company policies, and proper allocation of labor costs. Production Director and Scheduling Manager Basic Skills Required:
Proven experience in scheduling, operations management, or a similar role, preferably in a home services or construction environment Strong leadership skills and experience managing a small team Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and 811 dig notification requirements Excellent organizational and time management abilities Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record Working Conditions and Physical Demands Position is primarily based in a field setting, with occasional office visits.
