This dual-role position is ideal for a well-rounded professional who excels in project management, estimating, and client coordination , with a strong background in earthwork, utilities, and site development . We’re looking for someone who can manage multiple projects from pre-construction through closeout , while also accurately estimating scopes of work and driving bid success.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management Duties:

Oversee all phases of site development and heavy civil projects (earthwork, grading, underground utilities, etc.). Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and field operations. Ensure safety, quality, and production goals are met on all job sites. Coordinate with field teams, engineers, owners, and vendors to resolve issues. Conduct site visits and progress meetings to track job performance. Maintain accurate documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports.

Estimating Duties:

Review civil construction plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports. Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and competitive bids. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor pricing. Assist in value engineering and bid strategy development. Attend pre-bid meetings and support the transition from estimating to operations.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction and/or site development. Proven track record managing site projects (public or private sector). Strong estimating background with proficiency in takeoff and bid software (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, Agtek, or similar). Familiar with DOT, municipal, and commercial sitework standards. Solid understanding of earthwork, utilities, stormwater systems, and grading. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
