Expected results are to attain Service Center revenue budget goals and objectives including but not limited to continuous improvement of the services provided to the customer, efficient operation of the Service Center and assigned equipment, proper staffing and utilization of facility and equipment. All areas within the Service Center Manager’s scope of responsibility must be in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and within company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading, directing, and overseeing employees at the service center. Manages the Service Centers hiring process by selecting the best qualified applicants for office staffing and driver staffing. Measuring, setting, and driving company KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators). Responsible for monitoring and meeting profit and loss goals. Training and development of drivers and operations staff. Provides a safe and efficient working environment for employees. Communicate timely and effectively with internal and external customers. Directs service center’s transportation activities to maintain efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Monitors operational metrics throughout service center and ensures all local, federal, and state regulations are met. Ensure operations align with company policies and procedures. Collaborates with safety and HR departments on all compliance and disciplinary matters. Advocate and maintain commitment to safety. Work jointly with Maintenance and Equipment Cleaning functions for the Service Center and third-party vendors. Perform all other duties as specified.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

3+ years of supervisory experience required. High school diploma or equivalency required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Transportation, maintenance, and/or equipment cleaning experience preferred. Tenure and experience at Highway Transport may be considered in lieu of position requirements Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal liability insurance coverage at or above the legal state of residence minimum requirements

Skills Required:

Ability to delegate and direct work to personnel. Excellent communication with all employees, direct or indirect. Effective communication with customers and independent contractors. Effectively manages employee relations. Excellent customer service. Strong organizational skills. Sound independent judgement and problem solving.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Occasional travel as needed. Majority of time will be spent in an office environment. After hours and weekend work as needed.
