Job Description

Site Manager HAWE Hydraulik, North America Huntersville, NC 28078 The Site Manager is responsible for leading and managing daily operational activities at our Huntersville Facility. The role is critical in ensuring that we are efficient and that we continue to focus on performance, compliance and continuous improvement. The Site Manager will work collaboratively to develop, design, and manage the production, quality control, warehouse/inventory, and facility-related process. The ideal candidate will have a strategic outlook combined with the ability to provide hands-on support and leadership of diverse manufacturing functions. Daily duties of the role include but are not limited to – Hands-on leadership and management of all activities and operations relating to the Huntersville, NC facility. Improving HAWE’s financial performance and competitive positioning through continuous improvement of production and supply chain related processes. Monitoring production processes and identifies opportunities for process improvement or efficiency optimization. Ensuring proper steps toward execution of ideas are followed through. Developing a production plan and schedule that preserves profitability while reducing overhead – without compromising lead time and quality. Working with the HAWE corporate team to establish quality and safety standards. Tracking vendor and operational performance. Strategically modifying employee schedules or staffing plans to reduce labor costs while meeting output expectations. Promoting HAWE standards of quality throughout the production process – effectively leading direct reports and other colleagues to do the same. Ensuring superior quality output in all areas of production. Optimizing inventory levels to support asset management strategy of the company, without jeopordizing customer delivery performance or quality. Utilizing ERP system to effectively work cross-departmentally in establishing workflow, production planning and inventory/subcontractor purchasing processes (requires effective communication and ability to work in a team to contribute successfully to establishing new cross-department processes). Providing key project stakeholders with timely and accurate information relating to delivery schedules, delays, and cost variances. Ownership of KPI’s relating to inventory management practices and lead time management. Determining material, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve quality and production goals according to the product design specifications. Responsible for facility management and upkeep including environment, health, and safety.

What You Will Need:

A qualified candidate must possess the ability to- 10+ years’ experience leading a production team for an industrial equipment or specialty manufacturer (with in-house assembly & testing). Preferably in a Hydraulic value-added System environment. 5+ years in operations/business management role – with direct responsibilities to financial decision making and performance of an operational or business unit. 3+ years ERP Production Planning and/or inventory management experience (Dynamics Business Central preferred) Functional knowledge of

ISO 9001

2015 quality standards and requirements and

ISO 14001

2015 environmental management. Desire to incorporate ISO standards and concepts into the manufacturing environment. Prior background in hands-on assembly of equipment highly preferred. Ability to read, understand, and apply technical drawings and data to effectively produce routings and BOM requirements for production and the supply chain. Strong Leadership skills with a focus on cultivating cohesive teams in a production environment Ability to drive change and implement procedures with team buy in Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP).

Bachelor’s degree (or extensive coursework/training in) business administration, operational planning, finance, project management, or similar, relevant field of study applicable to the role. Experience reading technical drawings or hydraulic schematics. Mechanical or technical background.
