Full Job Description Overview:

As a Wireline Telecom Splicing Manager , you will develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. Join the MasTec family and help us provide the highest level of quality service to our customers and communities while maintaining our commitment to safety! Minimum 6 years fiber splicing but prefer 8 to 10. Understanding of Slick and FlexNap fiber. Experience with Fugi and Sumi fusion splicers. Fast Pace, problem solver. Engineering background not a must but a plus. 4 years in some form of supervisory or Management. Will be customer facing from time to time. Works well with Construction and has knowledge of Underground and Aerial builds. Aerial knowledge. Must have COAX and Fiber experience. Finish Underground construction with Fiber and Coax. Must have financial acumen. FTTH experience needed. Gigapower experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

As a Wireline Telecom Splicing Manager you are responsible for overseeing all phases of utility construction with an emphasis on coax splicing. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. In addition, you will: Provide leadership in the utility construction industry Develop your team’s skill set and knowledge of coax splicing Give direction to multiple crews and their job site activities Support the company-wide safety culture Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers for escalated
