Overview:
The Sr. Project Manager can run a standalonemulti-craft, joint venture, or EPC project up to $200 milliondollars. The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for overseeingproject Safety, Quality, and all Project Controls required to leadthe project. Dependent upon the project structure the PM isresponsible for directing engineering, technology providers as wellas JV partners. The PM is accountable for all aspects of theproject including but not limited to safety, quality, labor,material, scope, client interaction, and overall execution of alldisciplines. To successfully manage their work, they must have athorough understanding of the industry best practices and codes forall disciplines. The role requires interfacing with all areasaffected by the project including the client(s),engineering/design, subcontractors, distributors, vendors, and theongoing strategic communication with project management regardingthe status of the project.
Location & Travel Details:
You can bebased in any city or state in the U.S This is a traveling, projectbased position, up to 90% of the time. You have the potential to beplaced on a project site located in any state throughout the US.You’ll spend 8-18 months on average per project. We offerdesignated per diem in addition to an excellent base salary tosupport and help you cover living expenses. This position iseligible for mobilization support (may include mileagereimbursement), and includes one longer weekend every four weeksfor additional time at home. A company vehicle and fuel card ORvehicle allowance will be provided.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS
Oversee and manage entire site management team(Construction Manager, Project Engineer, Quality Manager, SafetyManager, etc.) Represent in a professional manner in all clientinteraction activities. Communicate with client, engineers,subcontractors, and vendors on all project related issues. ChampionCorporate Safety Plan and develop a site-specific safety plan.
Review completions status and schedule progress. Identifyproductivity problems early and propose solutions. Review all workplans and work packages. Provide support to ensure the site qualityplan is communicated and all inspections and quality documentationis being completed on time and assembled for final turn over. CoachSuperintendents on monitoring and staying below the estimatedAverage Labor Rates. Review Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s). Train allcraft and staff to correctly complete JSA’s. Lead jobsite safetyreviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safetytraining. Schedule material deliveries and monitor procurementstatus report. Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on thejobsite. Review material takeoffs from drawings, specifications,and other contract documents. Perform basic engineeringcalculations and technical drafting to support field operations.
Review as prepared by Project Engineer, all submittals ortransmittals to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmentalagencies, and internal use. Review and approve major field issuedpurchase orders and subcontracts. Review and approve all homeoffice issued purchase orders and subcontracts. Provide fieldsupport and supervise subcontractor operations. Support all projectrecordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports,photographs, requests for information (RFIs), submittal,transmittal, memorandums, and other contract requiredcorrespondence. Develop and review all project controls such asproductivity tracking including Average labor rate, indirectscheduling, equipment schedule and log, risk, and opportunity log,etc. Provide information for the creation and maintenance of amaster project schedule. Approve and negotiate all change orders tothe Prime Contract. Drive the planning process through the masterschedule, 6-week, 3-week, 1-week, and manpower curves.
Administering Accounting/Job Costs/Work in Progress (WIP)
Updates:
Learn and Assist the Project Manager with these activities. Leadthe budgeting process of taking the Estimate and converting it tothe Standard Phase codes. Alert Home Office of trends regardinglabor, material, subcontractor and equipment costs. Accuratelymanage the cost forecasting process for entire project (labor,materials, subcontractors, equipment). Identify trends and suggestcorrective actions when needed. Establish the cashflow forecast andcurve to ensure positive cashflow for the project. Act as primarycompany representative in all customer interactions. Know all theprovisions, terms, and scope of the Prime contract. Develop andprepare Schedule of Values and all Invoices to customer. Usingestablished personnel requisition process, work with Recruiting tohire staff professionals for your project. Assist Project Engineerin taking the Estimate and converting it to the Standard Phasecodes. Approve all construction equipment purchases and rentals.
Manage, lead direct reports, and mentor.
SUPERVISORY
Supervise 10or more direct reports, include other Project Manager levels andhave the ability to lead a project of up to consisting of up to 500or more employees and various departments.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree inengineering and construction management. Must have experience inheavy industrial construction in industries such as fossil powergeneration, mining, metals, heavy manufacturing. Eleven (11) yearsof construction field experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESREQUIRED
Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs andproject specific regulations. When on-site, actively participate indaily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors. Set apersonal example of safe behavior. Ability to read, analyze andidentify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, andcontract documents. Provide constructability and cost savingalternatives at design and construction phases of project. Abilityto freely access all points of a construction site in wide-rangingclimates and environment. Highly motivated, with a demonstratedpassion for excellence and taking initiative. Strong work ethic,willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the firsttime. Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity. Passion forsafety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
Leader with the ability to delegate work and provide support asneeded to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives. Willing to travelextensively and relocate to the next project location for anextended period (typically 6-12 months.) PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work up to a 12-hour shiftdoing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outsideconditions. May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Usearms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift andcarry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance,crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks. Stamina to performthis task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.
Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weatherand site conditions. This work environment may involve moderateexposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt,dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. Ability towear personal protective equipment is required (including but notlimited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearingprotection, hardhat, vest, etc.). Move in and around confined,cluttered, and uneven areas. May need to work at heights and mustbe able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements;must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required forwork at heights. Evaluate information based on measurablestandards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognizeslight differences in shapes and shadings. Visualize objects inthree dimensions from drawings. Keep good balance and work atheights. See well (either naturally or with correction). Hear well(either naturally or with correction.) Coordinate the use of eyes,hands, and feet.

This position is a Full-Time positionscheduled to work typically 50 hours per week. Schedule is subjectto projects requirements.
