Project Manager Position Summary:

Construction Supervisors oversee new construction, recycled Habitat homes, and critical repairs of non-Habitat homes. They serve as the face of Habitat on our build sites, requiring strong construction skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead volunteers and homeowners in progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management:

Supervise daily operations on the construction site. Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules. Monitor work progress and guide subcontractors, volunteers, and homeowners in progress.

Project Coordination:

Liaise with project managers, architects, and engineers to clarify project specifications. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services. Schedule and oversee inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met. Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in workmanship or materials. Maintain accurate records of construction activities, changes, and any issues that arise.

Budget and Resource Management:

Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure the cost-effective use of resources. Assist in preparing project estimates and budgets. Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Enforce safety regulations and protocols on the construction site. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize hazards. Ensure all personnel have the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; degree in construction management or a related field preferred. Proven experience in construction supervision or site management. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Work Environment :

The position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials are essential. The Site Supervisor will be required to wear appropriate safety gear at all times.

Salary/Compensation:
