Job Description
Assistant Field Superintendent Piedmont Heavy Civil North Carolina Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction management processes. This role requires effective project scheduling, contract management, and the ability to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations on the construction site. The Field Superintendent will be responsible for managing teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. Responsibilities Jobsites are in NC, VA and SC. Must be willing to travel to our jobsite each week to ensure goals are being met. Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Manage project scheduling to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones. Oversee subcontractors and labor teams, providing guidance and support as needed. Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers. Utilize Heavy Jobs for project documentation and reporting to maintain accurate records of progress. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance with specifications. Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively. Ensure that all materials and equipment are available for scheduled work activities. Maintain a clean and organized job site to promote safety and efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in supervising construction projects with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Proficient in project scheduling techniques and contract management practices. Experience using Prolog for project documentation is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of Bluebeam for reviewing plans and managing project documents. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in managing construction activities. Ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
