Job Description
Traveling Superintendent Genesis Industrial Staffing North Carolina Job Summary The General Superintendent is primarily responsible for assisting with overseeing field crews/equipment, interacting between Matrix personnel, QC / QA and the customer, and assisting with hiring, testing, and scheduling of field personnel. Essential Functions Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.” Performs system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications. Reviews NDE reports at jobs to insure that all code and customer requirements have been met. Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities and equipment requirements. Supervise craft workers assigned to area of responsibility, provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications. Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures and safety requirements are maintained. Advise senior level superintendents and/or project management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties; assist in resolving such problems, as required. Ensure all company, department and technical policies, procedures and standards, are adhered to. Interpret policies, as required. Perform additional responsibilities, as directed. Qualifications 10+ years of field experience in tank erection and repair. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to read blue prints. Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook or willingness to learn. Working knowledge of API standards, preferred. Ability to work with other Matrix personnel departments, such as Operations, Project Management, Engineering, and Safety to assist in resolving issues. Occasional travel may be required. This posting will be used to fill multiple field supervision roles on project sites; candidates are expected to travel to various project sites as needed (OK, TX, GA, NC etc.).
