POSITION OVERVIEW
Performs project coordination for the Preconstruction Department. This includes, but is not limited to, contacting subcontractors regarding bid opportunities, maintaining subcontractor database, and assisting Preconstruction Managers as needed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Functions as primary contact between FLB Preconstruction department and subcontractors: Receive, save, and organize all plans & specs from architects Send Invitations to Bid and project notices to subcontractors Generate project interest and follow up with subcontractors on bid status Receive and log subcontractor questions on every project. Review project documents (plans/specs) to answer if possible. If not, work with Preconstruction Managers and/or architects to get the answers Create Clarifications and Addenda for subcontractors based on new/revised information from architect Receive all subcontractor bids Follow up with subcontractors for additional information not provided on bid Coordinate all pre-bid/site visits with subcontractors Create and post advertisements in local newspapers and media outlets Work to ensure MWBE business have access to bid opportunities Provides administrative support to the Preconstruction department: Responsible for organizing bid day logistics including preparation of forms, lunch, etc. Attendance at or hosting of prebid meetings, coordination, and participation of bid openings, review of bids, and post bid processing Create Bid Manuals to be posted for subcontractor use during the bidding process Assist with preparation of professional documents, i.e. deliverable books Responsible for maintaining department records such as schedule and job boards Update/maintain subcontractor database Create/update various reports in Excel Assist with all Preconstruction administrative functions as required
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High School degree required. Project Coordinator experience preferred.
