We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Construction Manager for our Cary, NC region who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running like they should. You’ll take the lead on pre-construction and construction management responsibilities and be a leader to those reporting to you on the project. You will be responsible for developing and delivering on work area scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules – you will help our teams exceed the client’s expectations. Here’s what you’ll need

  • 15+ years of experience in managing construction projects related to industrial and/or commercial facilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of construction in the life science industry preferred
  • Ability to manage a team of construction managers, safety professionals, superintendents, and field engineers working collaboratively with engineers, designers, procurement, and CQV team members.
  • Ability to manage trade partner construction teams.
  • Committed to safety with ability to work with the safety management team by following the project specific HSE plan.
  • Committed to quality with ability to work with the quality management team by following the field QA/QC plan.
  • Understanding and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Ability to manage turnover processes and ensure walkdown facilitation. Ideally, you’ll also have:
  • OSHA 30 training
  • Pharmaceutical experience
  • Strong communications skills
  • Lean construction delivery experience and ability to adapt to lean methods.
  • Ability to learn and use construction software (such Autodesk Construction Cloud)
