Role Purpose As a Superintendent, you will ensure the overall daily supervision of field operations at assigned project site. This includes but is not limited to supervision of all field operations team members, ensuring a safe work environment, efficiently managing the planning and scheduling, cost control, quality control, coordination of subcontractors, as well as providing the highest level of excellence in construction services. Responsibilities Review and be familiarize oneself with contract documents, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals for assigned project. Maintain and submit daily paperwork; timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs and E-mail correspondence. Conduct pre-construction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work; ensure adherence to Thomas standards of workmanship and plan of work. Manage the project schedule and communicating any changes to all affected parties. Ensure all crews are adhering to Thomas safety policies and procedures. Conduct and/or attend pre-construction, progress and other project and staff meetings. Review project progress, cost reports, schedules and requirements for completion. Utilize all available technology to track progress and keep self and team informed. Perform other site construction duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years related experience with construction projects, mechanical/electrical systems, building materials, building mechanics or working with craft workers. OSHA 30 training preferred. Consistently manage construction projects with a budget of $20M+ resulting in customer service rating of 95%+, meet deadlines, and sustain or under budget. Consistently follow corporate processes, where applicable. Maintain an accurate schedule. Maintain job sites with limited safety incidents. Maintain strong relationships with all subcontractors and vendors. Conduct on-time and accurate reporting. Physical/Work Requirements & Environment Physical ability to walk site throughout the day, climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction personnel hoists, climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear (bells, whistles, etc.), stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
