This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee and manage high-value construction projects in one of North Carolina’s most dynamic regions as well as other growing markets in the Carolinas. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in commercial construction, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects. They will play a crucial role in ensuring project success, maintaining safety standards, and delivering superior quality to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations on commercial construction sites Manage and coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and all applicable building codes Implement and maintain strict safety protocols on job sites Conduct regular quality control inspections Coordinate with project managers, architects, and clients to resolve issues and maintain project timelines Develop and manage project schedules Monitor and control project costs Prepare and submit daily reports on project progress Mentor and supervise junior staff members
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a superintendent on commercial construction projects Proven track record managing projects valued at $10 million or more Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a construction related field In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and industry standards Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office suite Ability to travel within the Carolinas for projects if needed Strong communication skills, both verbal and written OSHA 30-hour certification The successful candidate will be a results-driven professional with a passion for construction and a commitment to excellence.
