Wastewater Plant Construction Superintendent 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Apex, NC 27502 Wastewater Plant Construction Superintendent Wastewater Plant Construction Superintendent Position Overview The Wastewater Plant Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the construction of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders including engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all aspects of construction for wastewater treatment facilities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines throughout the construction process. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to plan and execute construction activities. Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on status, challenges, and milestones achieved. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to prevent cost overruns and delays. Lead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and efficiency. Conduct site inspections and meetings to address any issues that arise during construction. Implement best practices in wastewater treatment design and construction methodologies. Qualifications Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably in wastewater treatment facilities. Strong understanding of construction processes, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements for water treatment plants. Experience in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders. Knowledge of wastewater treatment design, engineering, and management practices is preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus.
