Excavation Foreman Brandon Hiltz Construction, Inc 113 Beech Hill Road, Plymouth, NH 03264 Overview Brandon Hiltz Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Supervisor to oversee construction projects and ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction processes, including blueprint reading and OSHA regulations, and possess knowledge of and be able to operate equipment. This role is critical in managing teams on-site, coordinating tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Competitive rates based on experience. Duties Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that all activities are performed safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints to guide project execution and ensure adherence to design specifications. Manage construction teams by assigning tasks, providing training, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Monitor project progress against timelines, making adjustments as necessary to stay on track. Conduct regular inspections of the worksite to ensure quality standards are met and address any issues promptly. Operate heavy machinery including but not limited to loaders, excavators, and compactors to perform various tasks such as digging, compacting, and grading. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Follow safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery in compliance with industry regulations. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors. Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures. Requirements Proven experience as a Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, construction processes, and safety regulations (OSHA). Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively. Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards.. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients. Proven experience in operating heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, and compactors. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment. Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. Attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols at all times.
