Groen Construction Project Manager We are looking for an experienced, thorough, and proactive team member with project management and estimating experience. Our current projects are typically valued from $1m to $30m and range from multi-floor, mixed-use residential, public service buildings, and manufacturing facilities to smaller scale medical office space renovations. The Project Manager / Estimator will be an integral part of the construction management team, responsible for building Groen’s brand through quality customer interactions, developing relationships with potential clients throughout the project pipeline, and helping Groen leadership close the deal and manage the project. Groen is poised for growth, and as such, each team member may be asked to wear multiple hats as we grow and develop into one of the region’s major general contracting firms.

Ideal Construction Project Manager Candidate:

Seasoned commercial construction project manager with experience in conceptual budgeting and construction project management. Professional, detail-oriented leader with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong knowledge of commercial industry practices, procedures, and market trends. Proficient with commercial project management and estimating software(s). (e.g. Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, etc) Proven ability to effectively coordinate resources and timelines in order to meet goals and deadlines. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of progressive commercial construction project management and estimating experience.

Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

Develop critical path job schedules to streamline project execution. Generate subcontractor interest, manage the RFP process and evaluate proposals based on project specifics. Analyze construction plans and perform quantity take-offs for select trades to create detailed cost estimates. Develop preliminary estimates with limited design documents. Itemize trade-specific scopes and prepare comprehensive bid packages. Market Groen effectively and identify opportunities for growth with existing or potential clients. Apply project management best practices to coordinate resources, timelines, and deliverables. Monitor project progress, address issues, and provide updates to executive management promptly. Manage construction change documentation and compose various reports, forms, and correspondence as needed. Ensure confidentiality and discretion across all professional tasks.
