To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of EPC contracts and general construction. This position will support our Project Managers, Engineers, and Construction Managers during all phases of EPC projects. Responsibilities Responsibilities including but not limited to: Day to
Day Activities:
Manage, plan, and coordinate in-house construction management personnel Manage, plan, and coordinate in-house Shop and QA/QC personnel Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., related to fabrication and construction are adhered to Participate in the development and review of Construction Specifications / Contractor RFP Packages Provide construction and construction management expertise to in house engineering staff during detailed design phase. Assign/schedule field and shop resources to meet the various project needs Support Construction Managers & Project Managers with identifying and estimating Change Orders Participate in weekly Project Manager / Resource Allocation Meeting Participate in weekly Project Meetings Visit construction sites and attend Prebid/construction meetings as required Interface with client representatives, contractors, and authorities as required Assist Construction Managers/PM with field site set-up (trailers, utilities, sanitary facilities) Proposal Stage /
Contract Support:
Review client RFP contract documents and participate in client negotiations Provide construction and construction management expertise to in house engineering staff during project development phase. Participate in the development of proposal documents, project cost estimates, and project schedule Develop staffing plan for construction related activities Identify all licensing requirements Construction Subcontractor Selection and Management Identify and evaluate qualified subcontractors for projects Review/evaluate/negotiate contractor proposals Assist in resolving contractor related issues (performance, safety, etc.) Monitor/validate subcontractors claims for change orders and suggest ways to mitigate impacts
Hiring and Team Development:
Participate in the hiring of new Construction/Shop Personnel Conduct employee reviews and implement & execute development plans (includes training) Conduct construction training (civil, mechanical, electrical) for new hires. Conduct training on specific construction topics during Annual Safety Training Safety Work closely with NV5/CHI Safety officer on field construction and shop related matters Maintain up to date training requirements (equipment operations, safety) Represent Shop and Field Groups as a member of the
Safety Committee Specific Knowledge and Skills:
Strong knowledge of estimating and cost control Knowledge of multiple construction and engineering disciplines Continually look for opportunities to improve processes and procedures Proficiency in use of applicable software, i.e., MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Outlook, etc. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills A bias for team-building Great strategic planning, organization, and creative thinking skills Results-oriented strategic thinker and… For full info follow application link.
