Full-Time SkillForce is seeking a Superintendent to lead a major transportation infrastructure project based in Newark, NJ. This high-profile initiative requires exceptional leadership and technical expertise. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering a transformative project that enhances regional connectivity and mobility. Key Responsibilities Supervise construction efforts to ensure the project is built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule Plan, coordinate, and oversee on-site functions including scheduling and subcontractor coordination Ensure compliance with contract documents, efficient use of materials and equipment, and timely execution of the project schedule Provide technical support including drawing interpretation and construction method recommendations Assist project management in developing schedules, logistics plans, and implementing project procedures Support and enforce the Site-Specific Safety Plan Coordinate with on-site owner representatives and stakeholders Perform additional assignments as directed by project leadership Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) Minimum 10 years of supervisory field experience on large-scale ($300M+) heavy civil infrastructure projects At least 12 years of superintendent or craft supervision experience in new construction, including piles, concrete, structural steel, and mechanical installations Strong knowledge of U.S. construction methods, safety protocols, and industry standards Experience with city, state, and federal government clients preferred Familiarity with union environments and local labor requirements Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, and Procore (or equivalent) OSHA 30 and First Aid certifications required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Why Apply Join a company known for building extraordinary projects with exceptional talent.
