As we prepare for our next expansion phase, we are seeking a seasoned and motivated production leader to help transform our current operations into a scalable, high-performing manufacturing engine. Position Summary We are hiring an Assistant Production Manager who will take ownership of our manufacturing operations with a clear path to lead all plant functions, including inventory, warehouse operations, and batching. This individual will lead our 1st shift operations while laying the foundation for expansion into a 2nd shift or weekend production. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, bilingual production leader with prior experience growing and managing teams in the food, beverage, or ingredient manufacturing space. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Leadership Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, including scheduling, production line management, and team supervision. Build and scale a team of 20+ operators and line workers; recruit, train, and mentor team leaders. Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and delivery timelines. Strategic Expansion & Infrastructure Develop and implement scalable systems to support expansion to additional shifts or production days. Lead initiatives for process improvements, automation, and cost optimization. Identify and recommend investments in equipment, facility upgrades, and staffing enhancements. Cross-Functional Oversight Serve as the de facto Production Manager with additional oversight of Inventory Management , Warehouse Operations , and Product Batching . Design and document SOPs for quality control, safety, continuous improvement, and equipment maintenance. Quality, Compliance & Safety Champion best manufacturing practices, food/beverage safety standards, and regulatory compliance (GMP, HACCP). Lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and ensure safe working conditions. Technology & Systems Leverage Microsoft systems and cloud-based MRP/ERP tools to manage production workflows and inventory control. Generate reports, dashboards, and analytics to inform decision-making. Qualifications & Requirements 5+ years of experience in consumer goods manufacturing (line operator to supervisory level). Mandatory experience in one or more: food, beverage, or flavor/ingredient manufacturing. Proven leadership of production teams of 20+ employees. Demonstrated success in building, training, and scaling production teams and operations. Fluent in both English and Spanish — required for team and cross-functional communication. Highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and cloud-based ERP/MRP systems. Strong knowledge of production planning, quality assurance, inventory, and warehousing practices. Track record of initiating and executing operational improvements independently. Preferred Characteristics Highly organized and process-driven with exceptional planning and documentation skills. Hands-on leadership style; willing to step in and solve problems directly when needed. Strong decision-making capabilities, including hiring and performance management.
