The Paving Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing allaspects of paving operations on construction sites, ensuring thatprojects are completed on time, within budget, and to the higheststandards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will haveextensive experience in the paving industry, excellent leadershipskills, and a strong understanding of construction processes, frominitial planning to project completion. Client Details Our clientis a leading general contractor in North New Jersey, specializingin sitework, paving, utilites and demolition construction projects.

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PavingSuperintendent to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion formanaging large-scale paving projects, ensuring safety and quality,and leading teams to success, we want to hear from you! DescriptionSupervise and manage paving crews on various construction sites,ensuring the proper installation of asphalt and concrete pavements.

Plan and schedule daily activities, ensuring adequate labor,equipment, and materials are available for each project. Coordinatewith project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensureseamless project execution. Monitor and enforce safety protocols toensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies. Inspectworksite conditions, materials, and equipment to ensure qualitycontrol and adherence to specifications. Resolve issues andchallenges that arise on-site, including delays, technicalproblems, or resource shortages. Ensure accurate and timelyreporting of project progress, issues, and daily activities.

Maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction and resolve anyconcerns in a timely and professional manner. Conduct regular siteinspections to assess work progress and quality. Oversee themaintenance and repair of paving equipment and machinery. Providementorship and training to crew members, fostering a culture ofcontinuous improvement.

Profile Experience:

Minimum 8 years ofexperience in paving operations, with at least 3 years in asupervisory role.

Skills:

Strong leadership and organizationalskills; excellent communication abilities.

Knowledge:

In-depthknowledge of paving techniques, materials, and equipment.

Familiarity with local construction codes and industry bestpractices.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degreein construction management or related field is a plus.

Certifications:

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certificationpreferred.

Licenses:

Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in all weather conditionsand lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion.
