Construction Superintendent Rencor Inc Somerville, NJ 08876 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. Including heavy highway construction, piles, sheeting, structural concrete, road reconstruction, paving, structural steel, etc. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations. This role requires effective communication with project stakeholders, including subcontractors, clients, and team members. Location of project will vary but will be in NJ. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications. Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and laborers to maintain productivity and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols. Review blueprints, schematics, and project plans to facilitate accurate construction estimating and resource allocation. Utilize HeavyBid and Heavy Jobs software for project management and cost estimation tasks. Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders regarding progress updates, challenges, and changes in scope. Implement effective problem-solving strategies to address any issues that arise during the construction process. Ensure all materials are ordered and delivered on time to prevent delays in project schedules. Experience Proven experience in construction management or as a Construction Superintendent is essential. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices within the construction industry. Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Heavy Jobs is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively is required. Demonstrated experience in supervising teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.
