Construction Manager II Pyramid Network Services, LLC Albany, NY • Hybrid work

General Summary:

Direct day-to-day operations for moderately complex jobs and assist the Project Manager, who has ultimate responsibility for the project. Works with the customer through the entire construction process from Pre-design through Construction to completion of the closeout package. This includes coordinating meetings with appropriate personnel, conducting site visits, overseeing the construction process, tracking project status, and completing all necessary paperwork. As a Construction Manager, you will manage the daily operations of self-performing installation staff, subcontractors, and superintendents while they are engaged in the construction, installation, and in-service testing of all project-related communications systems. You will be responsible for overseeing the project staff and subcontractors through infrastructure design, procurement, build, and testing of all the affected communication networks associated with the project being managed.

Key Responsibilities:

Serving as jobsite representative for the Pyramid Network Services.•Works closely with all design consultants to prepare, review & evaluate construction documents. Studies specifications of plan procedures for construction based on starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction (Establishes project schedules). Providing coordination and input as needed with utility companies providing services and infrastructure for the project, including schedule and cost management. Prepares full range quantity takeoffs, compiles hard bid, design/build, & square foot estimates (Cost estimates). Procures all required permits and/or licenses to proceed with work, if required. Attends weekly conference calls and provides site-by-site tracking spreadsheet and or Smartsheet. Procures lead time and delivery of materials to conform to project schedules. Confers with and directs supervisory personnel of contractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays. Monitoring and ensuring schedule performance and quality workmanship of contractors. Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods. Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules, conduct meetings, and create documents with contractors, vendors, and municipalities at regular intervals. Reviewing change proposals, proposal requests, requests for information, supplemental instructions, and other contract documentation as required on behalf of the carrier’s interests. Coordinates surveying of the construction area/site, as well as site walks with all necessary parties. Prepares and/or reviews progress reports, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports, reviews cost reports, interacts with the accounting Dept., and reviews progress payments. Interacts and corresponds with Tenant/Client’s design firms and RF engineers throughout the project concerning schedule, finishes, modifications, and specifications. Responsible for job site safety and quality Prepares close-out documents upon project completion, as well as punch lists and timely completion of such. Works with integrity, excellence, and humility to promote teamwork with all colleagues. Demonstrates excellent internal and external customer service skills such as friendly greeting, making eye contact, listening attentively, responding in a timely manner, showing respect and empathy, and acting as a role to model peers. Attends and actively participates in required meetings and training sessions. Compliance with established policies, procedures, and codes of conduct at all times. Practices and teaches safety awareness. Identifies and reports or corrects any possible safety or environmental issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of telecommunications construction experience. Hands-on experience with directing the activities of contractors and crews for mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural construction in a commercial or industrial setting. Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills. Knowledgeable in general construction and safety practices. Valid Driver’s License & willingness to travel. Certification in 30-hour OSHA construction course, or ability to complete. Ability to read and edit (Redline) construction drawings. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. The salary Range is $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 depending on experience.
