Responsibilities:
Position Summary:

The Home-Finding Supervisor supervises a team of Homefinders and is responsible for the certification of foster homes within the team’s caseloads. Includes overall supervision and coaching of assigned homefinder to ensure quality comprehensive assessments and home studies of foster home applicants and certified foster parents. The Home-Finding Supervisor also works with the Home-Finding Director, Intake Manager and other program leadership to track and strategize progress towards targets for certified recruited homes and address barriers to opening homes for certain demographics where there is a need for children to be placed. Home-Finding is the engine of foster care, which certifies foster parents to provide care for children who have experienced abuse and neglect and all work as a team towards permanency.

Position Description:

Provide supervision with professional coaching model and supervisor case reviews for case planning team. Provide consultation to team of resource parent coordinators on engaging both recruited and kinship resources for cooperation in the certification process and assessing for safety and risk. Utilize motivational interviewing skills and a trauma-informed approach to working with foster parents, case planning staff, and youth in foster care and be prepared to use crisis intervention skills to de-escalate conflicts when necessary. Master the concepts of the MAPP selection curriculum, mini-MAPP and therapeutic training for foster parents. Assess for safety and risk factors in current foster homes with children placed and in homes of applicants as they determine best fit for age range, behaviors, and special needs.

Study / Assess

recruited and kinship homes, including gathering required documentation, interviewing all family household members, babysitters, backups and references. Compile assessments and interviews into comprehensive detailed home studies that are complete and timely. Assist with offering support to Homefinders with Replacement requests in assessing foster home viability and availability Participate in staff meetings, supervision/coaching, trainings (including supervisor academy and leadership forums) and strategic planning activities. Administrative Oversight Review and verify all required documentation for foster home certification and re-certification Ensure the submission and upload of documents and training in BINTI, CNNX, Microsoft Teams Planner and EVOLV database systems in a timely manner Attend monthly Home-Finding team meetings, home development, placement meetings and lead individual and group coaching for peer support, professional development, and updates to state, city and agency guidance. Assist with updating, organizing and maintaining foster parent home records as needed. Organize team and work with leadership in preparation of home record audits. Qualifications:
Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in foster care settings, preferably 2 years of supervisory experience Bilingual Spanish / English ability preferred MAPP certified or willingness to become MAPP certified. Compassionate, warm, empathetic and a love for working with people

Preferred Knowledge :

Strong understanding of OCFS and ACS foster home requirements and foster parent rights and responsibilities. Ability to work with diverse population Must have good verbal and written communication skills and excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets for data tracking, BINTI online tools and professional platforms such as Microsoft Teams for communicating with Foundling foster parents Management and supervision theory, including coaching models Ability to remain calm under pressure and work well with people Ability to work from a strength-based, trauma-informed, youth development lens

Education Requirement:

Master’s in social work , Psychology or Sociology.

Education Required:

Masters’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution

Salary Range:

: $68,289.00 – $72,789.00
