We are seeking a General Manager to take full ownership of our new HVAC / Heat Pump Division, with the autonomy, resources, and executive backing to create a regional leader in clean heating and cooling. Key Responsibilities:
Full P&L Ownership:
Manage the division’s budget, financial performance, and job costing to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
Sales & Business Development:
Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow market share in the residential and commercial HVAC and heat pump sector.
Team Leadership & Management:
Recruit, train, and manage all divisional staff, including installers, technicians, and sales personnel, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and high performance.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all HVAC and heat pump projects from conception to completion.
Hands-On Field Work:
Perform on-site fieldwork as needed, including the technical commissioning of air source heat pumps to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction.
Process Optimization:
Develop and refine internal workflows, construction standards, and operational procedures to maximize efficiency as the division scales.
Your Impact:
What Success Looks Like in the First 12 Months You will have developed and begun executing the strategic business plan for the division, including market strategy, staffing, and financial forecasts. You will have hired, trained, and deployed a high-performing field team, establishing a culture of safety, quality, and accountability. You will have taken full control of the divisional P&L, implementing job costing and operational controls that lead to consistent profitability. You will have personally overseen and commissioned showcase projects, establishing the company’s reputation for technical excellence in the heat pump space. Core Qualifications:
10+ years of management experience in a construction trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) with proven P&L responsibility. Direct, hands-on experience in the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, with specific expertise in air source heat pumps being essential. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work from our Bainbridge, NY headquarters.

Pay & Benefits:
Base Salary:
From $85,000.00 per year
Total On-Target Earnings:
$105,000 – $125,000+ per year This position includes a significant performance bonus based on the overall performance and profitability of the HVAC/Heat Pump division.
