Job Description:

Opportunity for a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor (2 to 5 years’ experience) to join our construction cost management team with the role based out of QuantixCCM’s New York office (or remotely within the US). What your day to day role will include: You will have the opportunity to work at home and travel to projects across the US and potentially further afield. You will work alongside other construction professionals in multi-disciplinary teams for a variety of clients including some very high-profile names. QuantixCCM have a strong leadership team who you will support and in turn you will receive valuable knowledge in all aspects of cost management of a construction project. You will be involved in all stages of the construction project and you can expect to be given responsibility to manage the process in order to give you the best opportunity to learn. Throughout this process you will be assisted by a senior who will provide guidance and support. The Cost Management role we offer can be varied and is dependent on the Client and project we are working for, however, the role includes duties such as: Attendance at site progress meetings in the US Procurement tasks and managing tender processes including online measurement, documentation, tender return analysis and reporting Assist in the preparation of valuations, cost reports and change orders Attend online design review meetings to monitor project progress Prepare detailed cost reports for Clients Effectively manage a project with valuation and variation assessment Preparation of detailed estimates Compilation of contract documentation Report into the extended Cost Management team to complete client tasks Manage the close-out on projects including final account settlement What we will give back to you: You will enjoy a range of benefits such as our flexible hybrid working model which is designed to ensure a work/life balance that suits your lifestyle. Qualifications Here’s what we’re looking for: US Based US Citizen or have eligible working rights/VISAs to work in the United States Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Economics/Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) (preferably RICS accredited) Are APC chartered or are willing to work towards RICS accreditation. Retail Experience (preferably) Relevant work experience in pre and post contract construction projects. Be proficient in using Online Measurement tools (Cubit/CostX) and good report writing skills (word/excel) essential. Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive. Capability to satisfy client expectations and with the ability and willingness to manage your own priorities and deadlines. Communicate effectively to clients, both verbally & in writing. Capability to structure work effectively within a team environment. Ability to work independently without losing initiative & focus.
