Alternative On-siteSoil Evaluator-Systems Designer:
We are seeking Soil Scientist witha minimum of 4 years of experience in on-site sewage disposalsystems in Virginia. The individual must have an AlternativeOn-site Soil Evaluator (AOSE) license and be able to evaluate anddesign on-site sewage disposal systems. Responsibilities for
Alternative On-site Soil Evaluator-Systems Designer:
- Conduct soiland site evaluations for on-site sewage disposal systems incompliance with state and local regulations.
- Provide technicalsupport to clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies foron-site sewage disposal system projects.
- Perform site inspectionsand evaluations to determine site suitability, soilcharacteristics, and system design options.
- Develop and preparedetailed site and soil evaluation reports, system design plans, andpermit applications.
- Monitor and inspect the installation ofon-site sewage disposal systems to ensure compliance with state andlocal regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and training toother staff members as necessary.
- Maintain accurate andup-to-date records of all soil and site evaluations, design plans,and installation inspections.
- Conduct research and keep abreastof developments in the field of on-site sewage disposal systems.
Requirements for
Alternative On-site Soil Evaluator-SystemsDesigner :
- Alternative On-site Soil Evaluator (AOSE) license
- Bachelor’s degree in Soil Science, Environmental Science, orrelated field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in on-site sewagedisposal systems in Virginia
- Knowledge of Virginia state andlocal regulations pertaining to on-site sewage disposal systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to workindependently and as part of a team
