Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a versatile Construction Manager to oversee the civil and site work activities of a 100 MW+ solar farm under construction in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. The Construction Manager will oversee early-stage construction activities, ensuring that work is executed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role involves risk identification, coordination of EPC activities , and planning for phased full-time hires in preparation for the next stage of construction post-July 31.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage civil and site work activities during the early stages of solar farm construction. Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and resource plans for construction activities. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Manage EPC contractors and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address challenges and ensure smooth operations. Prepare for phased recruitment and management of Electrical and Mechanical Construction Managers as construction ramps up. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and provide oversight.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of construction management experience, with a strong background in civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines .
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with utility-scale solar farm construction is preferred.
Travel:
Ability to travel regularly to the project site in Mercer County . Remote candidates will be considered. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
