$48/hr (W2)

Duration:

6 Months (Potential for extension based on project needs)

Work Schedule:

Full-time, onsite, travel between two project sites daily (Indiana Area School District, Indiana, PA & Conemaugh School, Johnstown, PA)

Note:

This position involves daily travel between two project sites. Only local candidates or those able to self-relocate will be considered.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with strong oversight experience on large construction or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the success of ongoing school district projects across two sites. Candidates with prior experience working in Pennsylvania schools and current clearance for background checks (FBI, PA State Police, PA Child Abuse) will be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day field operations, site safety, project schedule, and construction quality Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings Investigate, document, and resolve on-site issues efficiently Prepare and maintain accurate project reports, job logs, and documentation Develop and manage work schedules and implement strategies to recover lost time Coordinate and communicate daily progress to the Project Manager Maintain professional relationships with owners, subcontractors, and engineers Lead and participate in weekly project meetings with stakeholders Organize daily work activities to align with project goals

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent Strong knowledge of construction trades and multi-disciplinary coordination Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to work various shifts and days as required Must possess or be able to obtain the following Pennsylvania clearances: FBI Background Check PA State Police Criminal History Check PA Child Abuse Clearance Must have a mobile phone for onsite communication

Preferred:

Recent experience on Pennsylvania school construction projects Already cleared for PA school district background checks (please note in submission)
