Job Description

Director of Construction Operations and Vendor Management Recruiting Solutions Landenberg, PA 19350 We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Construction Operations & Vendor Management to lead and oversee all aspects of construction execution, vendor relationships, and systems integration for our new home building projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and seamless coordination across departments. The ideal candidate will bring deep institutional knowledge of Newstar accounting software , a strong background in vendor and supply chain management , and proven leadership in residential construction operations . Key Responsibilities Construction Operations Oversight Lead and manage the full lifecycle of new home construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Supervise and support project managers, site supervisors, and field teams to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. Develop and implement construction best practices, safety protocols, and quality control standards. Vendor & Supply Chain Management Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and trade partners. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to optimize cost and performance. Oversee procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Systems & Process Integration Serve as the internal expert and administrator for Newstar (ERP/accounting software). Collaborate with finance, purchasing, and construction teams to streamline workflows and reporting. Lead training and onboarding efforts for software tools and operational procedures. Strategic Leadership Contribute to long-term planning, budgeting, and forecasting for construction operations. Analyze performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Act as a key liaison between executive leadership and field operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred). 8+ years of progressive experience in residential construction, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. Strong knowledge of Newstar or equivalent construction accounting/ERP software. Proven track record in vendor negotiation, contract management, and supply chain optimization. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
