Leadership Full Job Description Position Summary:

Greater Philadelphia Community Alliance is currently seeking an exceptional and dynamic leader for the position of Out of School Time Program Group Supervisor. The Group Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Site Director with overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the OST program. The Group Supervisor is responsible for assisting with ensuring that all GPCA and funder related policies are met in regards to day-to day operations including maintaining up to date records, ensuring supervision policies are implemented, guiding the behavior of children, planning and delivering the weekly curriculum and managing staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with maintaining complete and thorough attendance of all students and staff each day. Check the school absentee list, site voice mail, and calling parents if child(ren) are absent, but scheduled.
  • Ensure the safety of all children enrolled in the program by following the supervision procedures and Licensing Requirements.
  • Ensure that only the authorized parent/guardian or emergency contact signs a child in/out of the program and include recording time.
  • Follow GPCA protocols for dealing with First-Aid and emergency situations. Complete necessary paperwork such as incident reports, medical log, etc.
  • Assist with assigning responsibilities each day including leading activities, helping with snack, homework support, restroom supervision, and clean up as required.
  • Assist in maintaining an inviting, safe, orderly environment
  • Perform other duties as required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education, social or human services, child development, or related field and 1 years of experience with children: or Associate degree from an accredited college or university in education, social or human services, child development, or related field and 3 years of experience with children
  • One or more years working in a leadership or supervisory capacity in an afterschool day camp, or youth outreach program setting.
  • Experience working with low income and underserved youth and children
  • Familiarity with youth development principals
  • Experience with urban settings and diverse populations.
  • Experience with record keeping, data tracking, writing reports, and maintaining student and staff records
  • Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel, One Drive etc.)
  • Experience and familiarity with using Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms. Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to respond to critical incidents and emergency situations with swift and mindful action
  • Must be able to pass a Background Records Check prior to working directly with children.
  • Verification of education and work experience for Position.
