Williamston, SC 29697 Entry level Commercial Construction Assistant Estimator/Assistant Project Manager position available Full-time Assistant Commercial Construction Project Estimator job description: plays a crucial role in the pre-construction phase of construction projects, providing essential support to Estimators in calculating project costs and preparing competitive bids, assists with Project Management activities to support Superintendent with developing project schedules, budgets, and logistics plans. Review project specifications, read and analyze architectural/engineering drawings, and other related documents to understand the project scope. Gather information by evaluating Building and Civil measurements and materials, including performing quantity takeoffs. Qualify and select subcontractors and material suppliers to obtain and secure competitive pricing. Support the preparation and delivery of bids and proposals. Utilize estimating software and other relevant tools to perform calculations and analyses. Work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with project management and accounting. Must have a clear understanding of construction methods and best practices, materials, processes, and industry trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

Knowledge in Construction Project Management, Estimating, Scheduling, Architectural & Engineering, and Accounting is preferred.

Experience:

Experience in construction estimating with a minimum of (5) years previous on-site construction in the field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in construction Estimating software, Project Management software, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders. Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills to analyze project data and develop accurate estimates. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of the estimating process. Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with the desire to invest the time in to accomplish those goals.

Salary:

The pay range is negotiable between $52,000.00 and $66,000.00 annually, based on experience and skill set. Contact us to schedule an interview to join our team for long-term employment.
