Scope of Responsibilities:
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing timely completion of the annual build plan within approved budget guidelines while maintaining job quality, supportive team culture, effective communication, and a highly safe environment.
Time Requirements:
Full time, Tuesday-Saturday Job Duties/ Responsibilities Schedule/ Budget Work closely with construction team to coordinate and complete construction projects in accordance with the project budget, construction and volunteer schedules, technical plans, and building code requirements Coordinate with project manager to schedule inspections, material orders and subcontractors as needed Coordinate with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure adequate coverage for projects as needed Construction Supervises and performs construction including, but not limited to, framing, exterior finishing, drywall, carpentry, flooring, and finishing Oversee multiple work sites Work closely with and delegate appropriate work for a variety of people ranging from unskilled volunteers, contractors, partner families, construction team and staff members Ensure all operational procedures are followed on the construction site Communicate construction needs with administrative team to solicit appropriate donations of materials and services in a timely manner Provide leadership for special events such as Builders Blitz/Women Build/Sweat Break, etc. to ensure that events are expertly planned and implemented Create and maintain safe work practices according to the affiliate’s manual and comply with all applicable OSHA standards Oversee internal projects for the affiliate when called upon Reporting/ Admin/ Other Complete all reporting as required to support the function of HFHBC Attend all required construction team meetings, staff meetings, affiliate events, etc. Protects HFHBC from liability including matters of safety and construction. Reports all potential concerns to supervisor in a timely manner Maintain a professional demeanor at all times Serve as an ambassador of HFHBC presenting accurate, compelling information about the affiliate and HFHI Use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential matters Provide meaningful feedback/ideas to help improve efficiency, cost and quality of the build process Perform additional tasks as assigned Complete Time off requests in Paychex for all vacation, personal, sick and other leave taken as needed.
