Description The SeniorPreconstruction Manager plays a critical leadership role in theearly stages of the project lifecycle. From concept through designdevelopment, this role oversees estimating, value engineering, bidstrategy, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate isproactive, client-focused, and passionate about building betteroutcomes-before construction even begins.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all preconstruction efforts for assigned projects, ensuringaccuracy, accountability, and timely delivery Collaborate directlywith owners, architects, engineers, and consultants to align scope,schedule, and budget Prepare and present conceptual budgets anddetailed estimates at progressive design milestones Oversee bidsolicitations, subcontractor qualification, scope reviews, andfinal buyout recommendations Propose value engineering andconstructability enhancements to maximize budget efficiency andproject success Mentor and support junior staff, promoting teamdevelopment and preconstruction best practices Profile 5-10 yearsof relevant experience in preconstruction or estimating, ideallywith large-scale commercial and or industrial projects Bachelor’sdegree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or relateddiscipline preferred Proficient with preconstruction and estimatingplatforms (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff,BuildingConnected) Excellent written and verbal communicationskills, with strong client-facing presence Deep understanding ofconstruction systems, market pricing, bid processes, and riskmanagement Job Offer Competitive base salary – $110,000-160,000Annual performance-based bonuses Vehicle Allowance w/ Gas CardHealth, dental, and vision insurance (majority employer-covered)401(k) plan with employer match Generous paid time off companyholidays Flexible work environment and support for professionaldevelopment Regular team-building events, wellness programs, andgrowth opportunities MPI does not discriminate on the basis ofrace, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity orexpression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status,marital status, or based on an individual’s status in any group orclass protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
