The position of Superintendent is an integral part of the General Construction Team and is responsible for keeping production levels up on their projects while maintaining project schedule and deadlines as stipulated by the executed contract. This person will work closely with the assigned project team to establish the direction of each project, manage and coordinate the subcontractor’s performance, and ensure a safety and quality project is delivered on time and within budget. Job Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for Maintaining Client Satisfaction on Assigned Project(s) Participates in Project Reviews with Preconstruction Team on Assigned Project(s) Participates in Project Turnover Meetings, from Preconstruction Team to Project Team Responsible for Development of the Project Execution Plan (with Project Manager) Responsible for the Development of the Site Logistics Plan (with Project Manager) Responsible for the Development and Finalizing of the Project Schedule (with Project Manager) Responsible for Maintaining Project Schedule and Developing Recovery Plans to Meet Commitment Dates (with Project Manager) Accountable for Enforcing and Maintaining the Site-Specific Safety & Quality Requirements Responsible for Reviewing all Requests for Information prior to Project Manager Submitting to Design and Owner for response Accountable for reviewing and providing comments for Product or Detailed Design Information Submittals prior to the Submitting to Design and Owner for approval Responsible to Lead and Document Weekly Subcontractor Coordination Meetings Responsible for Maintaining Project Budget and Assisting Project Manager with Managing any Budget Overruns Accountable for Adherence to Contract Terms and Conditions as Defined in the Executed Contract Responsible for Regular Project Photos and Daily Reports are being Completed in Procore Responsible for Maintaining Open Communications and being Main Point of Contact for Owner and Subcontractors as it relates to the Construction Portion of the Project(s) Accountable for Communicating and Documenting Project Constraints, Impacts, Delays to Project Manager Responsible for Timely Owner and Subcontractor Change Management for all Project Change Events and Ensure all Documentation is in place before Proceeding with the Changed Scope (With Project Manager) Accountable for Managing Subcontractors to their Scope of Work Responsible for Coordinating and Attending Required Inspections with AHJ Accountable for Issuing Non-Conformance Reports to Subcontractors who are providing Deficient Work Responsible in Maintaining a Clean Project at all times Responsible to Identify and Manage the Completion of all Punch List Items in Timely Fashion Participate in Generating Monthly Progress and Executive Summary Reports Participate in Generating Weekly Project Update Reports (with Project Manager)
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office applications Familiarity with construction project management software is a plus, but not required Able to read blueprints Advanced knowledge of commercial and industrial construction Ability to identify deficient work and provide a resolution Strong written and verbal communication skills that align with core values 5+ Years of experience in commercial or industrial construction Bachelor’s degree in construction science & management or related field is preferred
