JR COMMERCIAL PROJECT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

The Jr Commercial Project Manager supports the execution of commercial pool construction projects by assisting lead Project Managers (PMs) with fieldwork, coordination, safety compliance, and jobsite logistics. This role is intended to be a hands-on learning experience that will build foundational skills in commercial construction, including interpreting engineered plans, safety protocols, and jobsite operations.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

Learn to read, scale, and interpret engineered construction plans for commercial pools Understand and adhere to commercial construction safety standards and PPE requirements Attend and participate in pre-construction and safety meetings Gain knowledge of general construction processes and site conduct expectations Coordinate deliveries, including site access, laydown yards, and use of heavy lift machinery Support lead PMs with equipment loading and trailer/box truck preparation Assist with handling materials including plumbing components, steel, lumber, foam, and more Participate in rigging and hoisting activities (OSHA certification to be provided) Perform occasional field labor such as chipping, digging, or cleaning job sites Serve as the on-site PM in the absence of the lead PM Provide translation assistance on-site as needed for bilingual teams Learn and apply checklist procedures and upload project progress photos to BT Attend weekly commercial construction meetings Travel out of state as needed (RAMP card and per diem provided)

Willingness to learn and apply construction knowledge in the field Good organizational and communication skills Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Comfortable with physical labor and outdoor work environments Basic understanding of tools, equipment, and construction site operations Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment Bilingual skills are a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required Some prior experience in construction or field labor preferred but not required Must possess a valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach, talk, hear, climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch Must occasionally lift up to 80 lbs Out-of-state travel required, which may involve long hours, overnight stays, and occasional weekend work
