Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Landscape Design Manager to oversee our installation team during the development of landscape projects from concept to completion. We are committed to transforming outdoor spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape architecture, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for sustainable native design.

The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in landscape design and project management, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. High school diploma or GED required. Proficiency in landscape design software, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret site conditions and design requirements. Experience in leading and managing teams, with excellent organizational and communication skills. In-depth understanding of irrigation systems, plant types, and landscape design principles. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers. Ability to perform site inspections and manage physical tasks related to landscape design and installation.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
Create garden designs on paper and in the field using perennials, annual color, succulents, containers, and outdoor accents. Analyze natural and man-made elements of the area including soil, slope, drainage and natural vegetation, lighting and other construction projects. Utilize local knowledge to analyze landscaping plans. Irrigation management and maintenance. Manage installation team. Meet with landscape director to maintain budget. Create relationships with vendors and contacts for upcoming planting seasons. Overseeing greenhouse maintenance. Ordering and receiving plant shipments. Utilizing landscape design software to build new plans. All other duties, as assigned.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift minimum weight of 50 lbs. across medium distances. Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping. Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements. Must be able to work in various weather conditions
