Project Lead Holy City Hardscapes Charleston, SC Job Details Full-time From $22 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Profit sharing Qualifications Brick paving No experience needed Mid-level 3 years Driver’s License Concrete paving 1 year 2 years Time management Full Job Description Project Lead – Landscape & Hardscape Construction Charleston, SC | Full-Time | About Us We are a premier design-build company specializing in high-quality outdoor living spaces — patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, grading, fences and decks, and full-scale renovations. We pride ourselves on great craftsmanship and smooth project delivery. As we grow, we’re seeking a Project Lead to bring consistency, leadership, and reliable field support to our job sites. Position Overview The Project Lead is a hands-on role designed to support project execution in the field. You’ll assist the Project Manager while actively leading on-site tasks, launching projects to completion, and ensuring critical daily operations are safe, organized, and efficient. This role bridges the gap between management and crew — guiding field execution while keeping communication, safety, and workflow on track. Key Responsibilities Lead and demonstrate installation techniques and best practices to crews Be hands-on with projects: assisting with layout, excavation, grading, and hardscape installs Handling site cleanup Handle high-risk or complex tasks like excavating around utilities and launching job starts Ensure safety standards are followed and reinforced on-site Work closely with the Project Manager to keep daily tasks on schedule Visit job sites to check progress, answer questions, or support for minor issues Run small errands for tools or supplies; deliver small materials as needed Stage materials and prepare sites for upcoming phases Track material deliveries and confirm items are onsite and ready for install Relay direction and updates between the PM and crews Maintain site checklists, job records, and progress notes Report issues, concerns, or delays directly to the Project Manager Stay flexible and fill gaps on-site when needed to keep work moving This position is unique and highly trusted within the company. You will be responsible for actively managing two projects per day, traveling between job sites to ensure each one is running smoothly, safely, and according to plan. This requires sharp attention to detail, excellent time management, and a proactive mindset. You’ll be expected to stay on top of daily progress, identify potential issues early, and support crews with what they need to succeed in the field. Fuel expenses for travel between projects will be reimbursed. As the eyes and ears of the business, you will serve as a critical extension of the Project Manager, helping uphold our high standards for quality, safety, and professionalism. You’ll represent the company’s commitment to craftsmanship and accountability on every job, making sure that nothing falls through the cracks. This role is key to our daily operations — and your impact will be seen in the consistency, pace, and precision of every project we complete. Qualifications 2-5 years in landscape construction, hardscape install, or site work Strong technical skillset and ability to lead by example on-site Experience with site prep, excavation, paver install, and drainage preferred Ability to lead field execution, not just supervise Reliable and responsive — someone others can count on daily Valid driver’s license and transportation (mileage reimbursed) Able to lift heavy materials and work outdoors year-round Respect for safety procedures and job site standards

Note:

While direct hardscape/landscape experience is not required, we are looking for someone who can: Follow instructions precisely and consistently Enforce jobsite rules, regulations, and safety practices Lead and manage workers confidently and effectively And above all, do whatever it takes to complete projects on time, without error, and to a high standard. If you’re dependable, driven, and take pride in seeing things done right the first time — this role is for you.
