Projects near Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC (Travel up to 4 hours from site)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Project Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial and industrial electrical construction projects based in and around the Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC area . This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and safety-driven leader who is willing and able to travel to project sites within a 4-hour radius . Per diem will be provided for travel, and the role is structured as a temp-to-perm opportunity , with a performance review after 90 days. The ideal candidate will be responsible for field-level oversight of all construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage daily on-site construction activities for electrical projects. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors. Oversee scheduling, workforce management, and material deliveries. Ensure compliance with company standards, local codes, OSHA regulations, and safety policies. Monitor project progress and provide detailed daily reports and updates. Perform quality control inspections and ensure installations are per specifications and drawings. Conduct jobsite meetings and maintain communication between field and office teams. Identify and resolve potential issues or delays to keep the project on schedule. Train and mentor crew members and promote a positive, productive work environment.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role . Strong knowledge of electrical systems in commercial and/or industrial environments. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings . Excellent understanding of NEC codes and safety regulations. Proven leadership, team-building, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in project documentation, reporting, and scheduling software . Willingness to travel up to 4 hours from the main project area as needed. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 30 Certification. Electrical Journeyman or Master License (Preferred but not required). Experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar construction management tools.

Work Schedule & Employment Terms:

Full-time position with long-term potential. 90-day evaluation period with performance review for permanent placement. Travel and per diem covered when working outside local area.
