Job Description
Trillium Construction is seeking a Commercial Superintendent for a direct hire opportun it y w it h a general contractor that specializes in commercial development and construction. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Superintendent to oversee a senior living construction project in Florence, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will be local to the area, organized, and have a passion for delivering high-qual it y construction projects. This pos it ion provides an opportun it y to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the success of a growing company. The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing job s it e operations for a senior living project, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You will work closely w it h the Project Manager and other team members to ensure the successful execution of the project.
Job Responsibil it ies:
- Oversee scheduling of work for crews, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure maximum qual it y and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance w it h OSHA standards and that all personnel on-s it e (including subcontractors) are properly trained.
- Manage project layout and ensure proper grading and accurate structure placement.
- Review and interpret plans and specifications for the senior living project.
- Coordinate w it h the Project Manager to keep the project schedule up-to-date and accurate.
- Review schedule status and job costs weekly.
- Maintain inventory control over tools, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain a daily log of jobs it e activ it ies and progress.
- Ensure proper execution of change orders and updates to as-built plans.
- Attend pre-construction and construction meetings.
- Assist inspectors during project reviews and implement qual it y control inspections. Annual salary is $75,000
- $115,000 per year (based on experience).

General Requirements:
- 4+ years of commercial construction experience or equivalent education.
- Strong math skills and knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards (OSHA).
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
- Abil it y to estimate time and materials for projects.
- Abil it y to read and interpret blueprints.
- High school diploma or GED required (further education/certifications a plus).
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather cond it ions and travel out of town if needed.
- Must be able to work overtime and effectively handle multiple tasks.
