CommercialConstruction Project Manager Job Description:

A Project Manager(PM) develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all facetsnecessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and tothe quality specified. The PM provides leadership and serves as theliaison between project team members to promote the interest ofboth the business and clients in all matters, as well asdemonstrate the characteristics of a mid-level leader. The PM isthe primary leader for the construction project. ResponsibilitiesMaintain adherence to HITT’s standards of safety; ensuring thatrequired documentation is filed Create and manage project budgetfor all assigned projects Develop and collaborate onpre-construction RFP package Conduct project meetings, whilesetting milestones and formulating monthly owner reports Establishjob processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications) includingapproving pay applications and negotiating subcontract changeorders Perform project scheduling; ensure project quality controland establish overall project logistics Manage the closeout processefficiently Contact new and existing customers to discuss theirneeds while explaining how these needs could be met by specificcompany services Supervise assistant operations support roles suchas assistant project manager, administrative assistant, MEPmanagers, safety team members, etc. Collaborate with the projectsuperintendent and site operations team throughout the life of theproject Qualifications High school diploma required, four-yeardegree from an accredited university with a concentration inconstruction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred Inlieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable 5 years’experience in commercial construction, including experience with acommercial general contractor Previous experience in a projectmanagement role with the ability to execute multiple projectsand/or simultaneously Ability to master sector/project-specificsoftware systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Officesuite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.),ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards Mastery of readingconstruction drawings; tasks including reading, interpreting, andupdating construction project-related drawings Ability to organizenecessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tightdeadlines and achieve desired results Knowledge of current marketconditions including pricing conventions and trends Mustdemonstrate a strong ability to: Carry oneself as a leader andknowledge holder of the project while facilitating thedecision-making process Demonstrate a positive attitude and passionfor construction and our industry Communicate clearly, concisely,and professionally, with a strong ability to present complexinformation in a clear and concise manner Take initiative and seekresponsibility Demonstrate integrity consistent with The HITT Wayand HITT’s core values Seek continuous improvement of knowledge andabilities, internal focus on self-improvement Recognize quality andimplement contractual and HITT quality standards Adapt and exerciseflexibility with the ever-changing world of technology, design,means and methods Collaborate with people of various backgroundsand styles Foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients,subcontractors and vendors Approach all situations with a customerservice oriented attitude Coach, train and educate assistant leveloperations team members Sustain existing client relationships anddevelop new client relationships Understand and know what tasks aremore important than others; discern what needs to be solvedimmediately and what can wait; ability to multi-task effectivelyExhibit respectfulness by being punctual, engaged/focused, andrespectful of others HITT Contracting, Inc. is committed tocreating a diverse and inclusive environment.
