Construction Project Manager 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars Richland County, SC Job Responsibilities Serves as a project manager directly responsible for overseeing the design and execution of major capital construction and renovation projects, including overall monitoring of contract administration. Minimum and Additional Requirements Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree in Construction Management. Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP), or Project Management Professional (PMP). Additional Comments Knowledge of principles and practices of modern architecture, design, engineering and construction. Knowledge of codes, laws, rules and regulations governing the construction and/or modification of facilities. Knowledge of principles and practices of effective project management. The ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations: manage work and provide guidance to colleagues; make presentations and prepare reports; manage and prioritize a large and complex work load with short time frames; make decisions with limited information and a strong experience base; resolve problems and communicate outcomes; interpret plans; interact with various levels of personnel; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; use technology; solve problems; utilize conscious decision making; and build teams and involve stakeholders. Knowledge of contractual responsibilities, processes and procedures governed by the AIA architectural agreements (Series A, B and C). Ability to establish positive working relationships with customers/clients, superiors, subordinates, associates, design and construction consultants, and with State, Local and/or Federal professional personnel and other public and/or private sector organizations and individuals.
