The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading pre-construction efforts, including estimating, budgeting, and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project execution. This is an on-site position near Columbia, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead pre-construction efforts, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for various commercial and federal projects. Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment. Conduct site visits and analyze project specifications and requirements. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions. Maintain an updated database of material and labor costs. Participate in bid presentations and negotiations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pre-Construction Manager or Estimator in the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Familiarity with federal contract requirements is a plus.
