Project Superintendent Queue Labor Columbia, SC 29201 Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for quality control, and a thorough understanding of construction processes. This role requires effective communication with various stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and team members, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with safety regulations. Richmond, VA Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:
Manage day-to-day field operations for electrical systems on commercial job sites. Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations. Ensure project is completed on time, within budget, and according to code and quality standards.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate activities of electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors. Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and enforce quality control. Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety protocols.
Coordination:
Work closely with general contractors, other trades, project managers, and inspectors. Schedule and coordinate inspections and utility connections. Communicate changes or issues to stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Materials & Equipment:
Manage on-site tools, equipment, and materials. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of electrical components and supplies.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate daily logs, site reports, and progress documentation. Track work completed and submitted regular updates to the project manager.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or technical degree in Electrical Construction or related field preferred. 7+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
Licenses & Certifications:
Journeyman or Master Electrician license OSHA 30 Certification required.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local electrical codes. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and electrical schematics. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, construction management software).
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in a construction environment, including exposure to outdoor elements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces as required.
